N-au fost montate niciodata pe M, doar pe modelele timpurii de GAZ 69.

Au fost montate pe IMS 57 si pe M59 A pana prin 1961.

Principiul de functionare, este similar cu al amortizoarelor telescopice normale. Constructiv, sunt asemanatoare cu amortizoarele folosite la usile metalice, la blocuri.
